Hello everyone. Well, before we know it we are almost at the end of our course. Before we wrap up the course next week, there are still a few things that you have to do.
a) Grammar Test (10%)
We will have our grammar test on Tuesday, 31 March 2009 so do come prepared. Remember to understand the forms and the functions of the tenses we have discussed and how each tense has its own set of rules.
b) Blog (5%)
Make sure that you have submitted a minimum of 5 entries. I know some of you have been very active participants but there are a few of you who have not contributed your entries so please do update your entries soon.
c) Tell Me More (5%)
Last I checked most of you have completed all the assigned components in Tell Me More despite a few setbacks. The ones who have yet to complete, start cracking.
d) Final Project Report (10%)
You have submitted your proposal and progress report for your product innovation so this report will be the last item that you have to submit before your presentation. Do refer to the guideline provided in class.
e) Poster (5%)
You have to prepare a poster to promote your product. You really have to sit down with your group members and discuss how you can make your poster an effective medium to introduce your product to the public. Consider the graphic, colour scheme, fonts, tagline, etc that would really stand out.
f) Individual Presentation (20%)
We have done quite a few presentations throughout the course so this is the time for you to show how much you have improved from the very first presentation you did earlier this semester. The presentations will be next week at the Sports Complex but any changes will be informed immediately. Remember a product is only as good as the presenter. Don't forget to bring your confidence and appearance for your presentation. Knock 'em dead.
I wish all of you the best of luck.

Hi all….
Today I want to share with you all about Tell Me More program. I think tell me more helps me a lot in improving my grammar. I also learn how to speak the correct pronunciation. One important thing I've learned in Tell Me More was it doesn’t make me feel shy to speak up especially in the oral activities. Thank you.
hi....
When I read the sentence `I wish all of you best of luck` that have been written on the bottom of article, I feel that I want to laugh. We need to be hardworking in order to get what we want, although sometimes we need to depend in our luck to achieve something. For this subject for example, we need to do a lot of things in order to obtain an A. Hope you best of luck..

I don't know what to comment about the topic "The End is Near".
So, I just want to share with you all about what I have read.
How to get rid of stress?
Do you realize that “stress” is around us and it is a normal condition which will occur from time to time? What is stress actually? Stress is something which many of us face in our lives, sometimes even on a daily basis. The stress that is felt can be the result of work-related issues or ones which fall closer to home. There are many different definitions of stress. The definition of stress depends strongly on the type of entity that is defining it. Regular dictionaries define stress as a condition caused by outside factors in the environment which can cause physical or mental results. Medical dictionaries usually define stress due to the medical conditions which can result from stress.
Stress can be considered a normal for individuals to face or experience. Everyone is supposed to have a suitable way or method to experience or reduce his or her problems and stress. It is usually only when stress becomes unbearable, chronic or severe when the individual needs to have their stress evaluated.
So, here I would like to share with u all of several effective ways to help u overcoming the terrible stress. One way to reduce stress is to eliminate the stress-causing event or object. Other ways to eliminate or alleviate stress are to exercise, meditation, aromatherapy and eat a proper diet. It is important that the individual experiencing the stress acknowledges such a condition and then starts on the right track to getting rid of stress-causing factors in their life or working to alleviate the stress through other means.
“Seven Wonders of the World”. From my opinion, the Seven Wonders of the World are :-
1. Too See
2. Too Hear
3. Too Touch
4. Too Taste
5. Too Feel
6. Too Laugh
7. And Too Love.
We didn’t realize a thing that we can’t see but the things that we can see and feel we realize a lot. But the thing that we use to see, to touch to feel and others, we didn’t realize the present of it. So, be alert with what we have so that we can be grateful for what we have.
DOES A MOBILE PHONE HAVE A VIRUS?
With mobile phones functioning more and more like computers, it’s no surprise that virus writers have them in their sights. The newest smart phones, especially those with Bluetooth, are the most likely targets of high tech viruses. The easiest and cheapest way to stop viruses from spreading is to take some simple precautions:
• Make Bluetooth invisible by going to the Bluetooth menu and setting it on “non-discoverable” or “hidden”. You can still make it visible when needed.
• Delete all unsolicited messages without opening them.
• Always say no if your phone asks to install a program that you are not familiar with.
WHY ARE LEMOS SO OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH CLEANSING AGENTS?
Lemons have long been associated with their ability as cleansing agents. The key ingredient that gives a lemon its cleaning power is citric acid, a colourless, translucent crystalline substance. Citric acid is a “chelating agent” and, as such, can hold on to ions of iron, calcium or magnesium. Rust is iron oxide, which is normally insoluble in water. When citric acid grabs on to the iron ion, however, it becomes water soluble and the rust can be washed away. Citric acid can also bind to the calcium and magnesium in soap scum to help remove it from surfaces. Lemon’s fresh scent has helped to sell it as a cleaner.
Today I read an article about the effect of cold water and I want to share it with everyone. After reading this article, I realized that cold water can cause the most dangerous disease that is cancer.
Everybody like to drink cold water like me, particularly when hot days. But we must be aware of this habit especially after taking a meal. The cold water will solidify the oil stuff that we have just consumed after a meal. This action will slow down the digestion process.
When this 'sludge' reacts with acid,it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food.It will line the intestine and when the time come it will turn into fats and lead to cancer.
For advice, to one who love his/her health, the best thing to do is drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.Let's be careful and be aware of what we eat and drink everyday because the more we know the better chance we could survive.
